Been a while since i posted aka 15 days. It's 6:30 right now and i have absolutely nothing to do. We're doing this project in school and it goes on until like March.

On IF

So, it's called Independent Fairfield and basically it's about our county becoming an independent country. We are in charge of the government and it's basically all about politics cuz we are the congress. I really like this kind of thing, it's sort of like last year's UN project where we pretend to be the UN and every group is a country except the actual UN people, who are on the General Council and they ask for help for certain things and stuff. I absolutely loved that--Green had some really good projects last year. A lot better than Biomes of the World, at least. I also liked that country thing we did, that create-a-country project. That was cool - I like those projects where pretty much anything can happen, you can just sort of employ any idea that you want, and you never know what's gonna happen the next day. I'm really happy I was on Green last year, even though I heard some things about it that never turned out to be true. I especially liked Sra. Everett, even though I know most people hated her, I don't know why. And it totally isn't just because she really liked me and she had favorites. It isn't. I genuinely thought she was really nice and I sort of feel like we should have appreciated her more, especially because she was retiring that year after like 31 years of teaching. So anyway, back to this whole IF project. We were supposed to do all this researching like two weeks beforehand, and i did some, but on the whole, it was like all on the web and didn't actually get anything from newspapers or anything. So, I printed out like a couple of the articles I found, stuck it in a folder, and pretended I actually did some research. Which I did, the very first day that we had to, but practically not at all since then.

On Baby Teeth

Is it weird that I still have like 3 baby teeth?

On Really Crap Nail Polish

I'm drawing pictures with this really crap nail polish that my sister has. It stinks. As in reeks.

On Zoolander/Movies

Ok, so just before Christmas, we had this holiday Cineplex. I think I talked about it before; anyway, tons of people wanted them to show Zoolander, but the teachers never showed it - it got kicked out by Ratatouille or something. But everybody seemed to think it was this hilariously funny movie (except for Casey, who I applaud for being a nonconformist), and I had never seen it, so I checked it out at the library (like I said, I live at the library) and so watched it at home on our huge-o mongo projector with my mom (bad idea). It was one of those majorly inappropriate movies that I can only imagine appealing to like boys between the ages of 15 to 19. And of course I'm sure that's exactly who the director directed it at when he was making it. On the whole, I just don't like Ben Stiller in general, and the whole male modeling schmiel is not so hot, either. But the movie just does not have a plot. Like, ok, you would think with all the incredibly famous people they stuck in that movie (just to have them stand there/do nothing, I might add), it would have cost a fortune to make, because you have to pay all those people like a jillion dollars each to stand there because they're all famous and everything, and their precious time is being spent standing in front of your camera when they could be off doing some actual acting. So this is the kind of thing where you would hope the movie is actually good, and it expresses a big message and has a plot...but nooooooo. It's one of those trashy movies that they just sort of make on the fly so that they can put a lot of "as himself/herself" in the credits. I think that should be true for all movies - if you're going to spend the money making it, especially if you pay tons extra to get famous actors, it should really send a message to the audience. That's the difference between a movie like Zoolander and a Disney movie. Ok, let me just get this out there - I looooooooove Disney movies. I am obsessed with Disney movies - because they're so good! They do everything I would expect a good movie to do. They always have a memorable plot that's original and they never make sequels (well, unless you count Shrek 2 and the Third) they just get worse and worse because they know it will sell so well anyway, since people have already seen the first one and they thought it was great. Like that's what happened to the Harry Potter movies. They just got worse and worse, because they don't have to have a good plot to get them to sell. But if you take a movie like Cars or Finding Nemo or Ratatouille or Toy Story, sure, you can tell it's by the same people because of the animation, but they're always different. AND ANOTHER THING! I absolutely hate when you have a movie where the main character is a kid, and the kid gets very, very, very little credit for working their butt off and doing all that acting! Like in the Grinch, does the name on the cover say "Taylor Momsen"(and is it just me, or does she look incredibly like Daphne Wertz? - google "taylor momsen" in images and try to find one of her older photos - she's sort of all grown up now)? NO! It says "Jim Carrey", of course! Ok, sure he was the Grinch, but Momsen did SO much more acting than he did! And of course he has the first name in the credits. Same thing happened with the Cat in the Hat movie...Mike Myers is top on the credits of course. That kind of thing bugs me to death. And just to add to the whole movie thing while I'm at it, my fav movie is the Thief Lord, you know, based on the Cornelia Funke book? I know, I know this sort of think should be on my profile, but I'm too lazy to go back and change it.
