A Human’s World is Truly Flat.
They need flat things, if they want to be able to go from place to place in their motor vehicles, they need flat things. They kill all the trees and growing things and put down cold, hard rock and inhospitable surfaces for the trembling seed.
They wash away all the greens and blues and replace them with dull shades of gray and brown. They cut down huge sequoias and ginkgoes and maples to have a factory that makes fake trees of plastic. They shave away the rough, damp bark and cut them into sheets to make plywood. They soak the tree-flesh with glue and polyurethane.
Why leave a mountain when you could have skyscrapers? Why have pure lakes when you could have a sewage facility that makes fresh water? Why admire the beauty of a dandelion when you could cut it and call it a weed? Why leave animals in the wild when you could pen them and put them in zoos to say they are not extinct?
Their colors are flat. Their roads are flat. Their plasma TV screens are flat. Their Earth is flat. Their minds are flat.
So the Europeans were not so wrong. When they said the Earth was flat. Maybe they knew more than we thought they did.
